Position: Senior Service Coordinator

about the opportunity

As a Senior Service Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in our organisation by overseeing a team of dedicated disability support workers with.

You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and service delivery to our clients and have a say in the planning and future endeavours of our organisation. Your duties will include:

  • Managing and coordinating daily operations of the support team.
  • Recruiting, training, and managing the performance of support workers.
  • Conducting comprehensive inductions for new team members.
  • Facilitating regular team meetings to enhance communication and collaboration.
  • Creating and managing staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Implementing and maintaining policies and procedures to uphold quality standards.
  • Ensuring accurate record-keeping, including routines, schedules, incident reports, and shift notes.
  • Managing team communications to foster community and share important updates.
  • Facilitating and maintaining positive relationships between clients’ families, the direct support team, and allied health professionals.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the disability support sector.
  • Strong understanding of disability support services and regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Compassionate and patient-oriented approach to client care.
  • Experience in Aged Care or Disability Services and corresponding degrees or qualifications preferred, but not necessary
  • Senior First Aid Certificate and valid CPR
  • NDIS Worker Screening
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Intermediate IT skills
  • Ability to teach, motivate and inspire Support Workers
  • Experience with alternative forms of communication (e.g. AUSLAN, PODD) would be welcomed, but not necessary
