We’re looking for a professional Community Support Worker with relevant experience who wants to join our team of 1500 employees and 1000 volunteers to make a difference on either permanent part-time or full-time basis, working based in Frankston.

THE ROLE

The Community Support Worker provides centre-based social support and in home care services to aged individuals who require support to live independently, and their carers.

  • Deliver care and support for clients, in line with Care Plans, including but not limited to respite, household tasks, dressing and undressing, grooming, toileting, accompanied personal shopping, and meal preparation.
  • Actively support and promote client wellness and reablement goals
  • Support carers by providing meaningful and enjoyable experiences to a client, that meet the needs of the client  as documented in the Care Plan.

Salary will be in the range of $61,985.52 - $67,631.28 pro rata per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent, or working towards obtaining this
  • Certificate in Food Handling, or working towards obtaining this
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of and ability to participate in quality improvement activities and strategies
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work with and engage individuals from diverse backgrounds
