We’re looking for a professional Education Support Officer with relevant experience who wants to join our team of 1500 employees and 1000 volunteers to make a difference on a temporary part-time basis, working 30.4 hours based in Frankston.
The Brotherhood of St Laurence (BSL) has a clear vision – an Australia free of poverty. The School is an initiative of the Brotherhood of St Laurence, and sits within the organisational structure of the Brotherhood of St Laurence.
The School vision is to ensure that all young people receive a high quality education that empowers them to reach their potential and equips them for a good life.
The School delivers an integrated education program to meet the literacy, numeracy, work related and personal development needs of young people (aged 15-19) in the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula region who are unable to participate in mainstream schooling.
The Education Support Officer will contribute to the effectiveness of the learning program by assisting teachers with the day-to-day operation of the classroom. The Education Support Officer will support students when assisting with the implementation of the educational program. This support will assist young people to overcome educational barriers and strengthen their ability to achieve their potential.
Salary will be in the range of $60,034 - $68,943 per annum (this will be pro-rated based on part-time hours), based on skills and experience plus superannuation.
