Bridging the Gap, a leading Child and Youth mental health service in Sydney’s West, is seeking an experienced Art Therapist.

Funded by Department Communities and Justice we provide Art Therapy, Play Therapy and Counselling for children, young people and their families. Our services are in high demand, and we are looking for an experienced Art Therapist to join our team.

This part time role, 3 days per week during school terms, is an excellent opportunity for someone who prefers to be free of commitments during school holidays. We are a family focused organisation and support our staff with flexible working conditions.

The Art Therapist we are seeking will be passionate about supporting children and young people to rebuild confidence and resilience. Our aim is to help children and young people overcome the effects of anxiety, depression, family violence and relationship breakdown.

Essentials:

  • Master Art Therapy
  • Completed at least 750 hrs supervised clinical placement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional Membership ANZACATA
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Criminal Record Check

Benefits:

Bridging the Gap has a friendly, supportive work environment and offers generous salary packaging. The position is Permanent Part Time which includes pro rata annual and sick leave entitlements, clinical supervision plus FBT tax benefits. Salary is based on SCHADS Award, Level 5.
