Key Responsibilities

As a Digital Printer Operator, you'll be an integral part of our production process. Reporting to the Production Manager, your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Finished Art: Reviewing and recreating customer provided artwork to ensure files form to statutory requirements and are print ready.
• Set up of Artwork: Ensure artwork files are to the required specifications for proofing, manufacturing and installation.
• Design software: knowledge of Corel Draw and Signlab / CAD advantageous.
• Print & Operation: Digitally and manually set up printing jobs on a flatbed printer to match job specifications (material selection, printer settings, etc.).
• Quality Control: Monitor print quality throughout production, ensuring consistent output and adjusting as needed.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve any issues that arise during printing process
• Maintenance: Maintain and clean printing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Record Keeping: Track job orders, materials used, and production output for accurate documentation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other stakeholders, Sales and the production teams to ensure smooth workflows and meet deadlines.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas to enhance and streamline our design and digital printing processes.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a fabulous person, that has a solid technical background in in multi-layered and flatbed printers, with experience in finished artwork and technical drawings using Corel Draw. Plus the following traits:

• Design & Print Experience: At least 2-5 years in a corporate print department, with experience handling both design and production tasks.
• Fabulous Communicator: A natural listener with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You know how to engage with people.
• Team Player: A collaborative, enthusiastic attitude with a passion for making a difference.
• Problem-Solver: Ability to analyse data and troubleshoot issues swiftly to keep the production line moving.
• Authentic & Honest: Integrity is important—you're straightforward, but always kind and respectful in your communication.
• Self-Starter: You don’t wait around for instructions. You take initiative and know how to get things done.
