Role Description

This is a remote contract role for a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner.

The practitioner will be responsible for providing daily support and intervention strategies to assist clients in managing challenging behaviours, implementing behaviour plans, conducting assessments, and collaborating with clients and their support networks. The role involves remote consultations and case management.

Budding Resilience Therapies offers evidence-based support for children and young adults (up to 25), specialising in complex presentations, including those with significant trauma, forensic concerns, multiple systems involvement, and psychosocial challenges. We are committed to a researched and evidence-based approach, ensuring that our services are grounded in the latest clinical findings and best practices.

Our strengths-based methods are tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant, empowering them while preserving their emotional safety, dignity, and privacy. We work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams to create holistic, individualised plans that address the multifaceted needs of children living with disabilities, neurodivergence, and mental health complexities.

By fostering resilience and promoting well-being, we help children and young people navigate life’s most difficult challenges while supporting their growth and development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Social Work.
  • Minimum core proficiency; with experience in working with complex psychosocial participants.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely

Preferred Applicants:

  • Child protection or Justice experience.
  • Experience in writing NDIS behaviour support plans.
  • Mental Health Experience.
  • First Nations Applicants are encouraged to apply.
  • Not working full time.
