This unique role is ideal for passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds. If you are an advocate with well-honed leadership skills and a proven ability to influence and manage stakeholders, we want to talk with you! We are looking for a campaign manager interested in leading Baptist World Aid’s influential Ethical Fashion Report project and growing its impact. Whether you're in the fashion industry seeking to impact garment workers and the environment, advocating for human rights, working in corporate fundraising for social justice, or in a research agency aiming to enhance our Baptist World Aid Ethical Fashion Report - this is the role for you.

About the Role?

Our Ethical Fashion Report is recognised as a leading voice on ethical fashion practices in Australia. It is widely known by consumers and respected across the sector. This role is a full-time 12 month parental leave contract, where you will join our high performing National Engagement team and be responsible for managing our Ethical Fashion Report efforts. This includes company research and engagement, data analysis and report production, as well as campaign execution involving media and communication. You will work internally to ensure alignment with our broader programs and to maximise its leverage across social policy, church and school. You will create resources and opportunities to support corporates to advance their ethical sourcing practices. Additionally, you will contribute to coalitions and partnerships to progress and advocate on joint causes.

Our team is based in North Ryde with hybrid working arrangements.

Essential Skills

You will have the following;

  • Deeply held commitment to justice and human rights demonstrated by your qualifications or experience
  • Current understanding of key issues around ethical sourcing, labour rights and sustainability
  •  At least 5 years’ experience in a not for profit or corporate environment. 
  • Experience delivering complex projects on time alongside management of key stakeholders
  • Well-developed analytical skills 
  • Demonstrated experience influencing external stakeholders and maintaining corporate relationships
  •  Experience creating well written informational content and resources for different platforms 
  • Relevant academic qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor junior staff ​​​​​​
