Are you seeking a role with a values-driven for purpose organisation where you can support young people in our community? Are you an Accounts Payable Officer seeking a new role to contribute to the community? Play a key role in the financial operations of a well-respected youth service organisation supporting at-risk young people.

The Full-Time position of Accounts Payable Officer supports our mission by undertaking a wide range of financial processes including assisting with accounts payable, credit card reconciliations and assisting with end of month procedures.

You’ll be a great candidate for this role if you have:

  • A relevant qualification in Accounting or Finance Services; this role may suit a recent graduate or relevant bookkeeping experience,
  • Minimum 2-years’ experience in: Accounts Payable, including processing bills and payment runs; processing credit card transactions; reconciling supplier statements; reconciling bank accounts and credit cards and classifying transactions to chart of accounts and cost centres
  • Excellent attention to detail with demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records
  • Demonstrated experience in using accounting software [Xero] and intermediate knowledge of MS Excel
  • Consultative and collaborative working attitude who works well in a team environment with the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, including non-financial managers
  • Sound organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously

Given the work that we do there will be few non-negotiable requirements. You’ll need to be able to have, or obtain prior to commencement:

  • Working with Children Suitability Card [Blue Card].
  • National Police Check clearance.
  • Evidence of vaccination, immunity, or medical exemption for the following preventable diseases - Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella [Chicken Pox]; Pertussis [Whooping Cough]; and COVID-19.
