Courage to Care NSW is a Sydney-based not for profit organisation. Our programs educate participants about the dangers of racism and discrimination. We show participants that they too can be Upstanders in their own schools, workplaces and wider communities.
About the Role
The Fundraising Manager will develop effective membership and fundraising programs and support the CEO and Board in their fundraising activity.
By growing our supporter base, we’ll be able to reach more people and have an even greater impact. By strengthening our fundraising efforts, we’ll ensure that we have sound financial backing for our important work. The Fundraising Manager will play a key role at Courage to Care, linking together and engaging with key stakeholder groups including members, volunteers, supporters and donors.
This is envisaged as a permanent position, 2-4 days per week. Remote work options are available.
Key Responsibilities / Accountability
- Identify, prioritise and implement engagement and fundraising programs that will inspire support for Courage to Care
- Stewardship and Retention
- Influencing and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders
- Research, identify, cultivate and secure new Corporate Partners and individual donors to grow diverse income streams
- Review all elements of lifecycle of programs; develop new initiatives and fundraising tools to engage supporters
- Maintenance of CRM System, keeping accurate records of memberships and donations
Experience
- Extensive experience of CRM/database management and analytics
- Experience with design and management of member communications
- Proven track record in developing and managing events program
- Experience in community fundraising
- Proven success delivering revenue growth
- Proven success in influencing stakeholders in a sensitive manner
- Experience in representing key messages in a professional manner and ensuring that the message is delivered with maximum impact
- Experience in marketing or donor/customer acquisition and retention roles
Skills and Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- The ability to engage collaboratively with different people at all levels
- Broad project management experience with high level of attention to detail
- Competence in the use of CRM, MS Office suite, Outlook, Social media, computer and internet literacy
- Manage self – show drive and motivation, seek feedback from others and engage in critical reflection
- Strong networking skills
- Respond to challenges in a thoughtful and considered way
- Demonstrate Accountability – be responsible for own actions and areas of responsibility
