Student Recruitment Coordinator - Australia Wide

Challenges Abroad Australia

Job Description:

If you are a recent graduate who is passionate about travel, wants a role that can make a difference and considers yourself a global citizen, then we may have the perfect role for you! We are looking for an outgoing, engaging Student Recruitment Coordinator to join our small and dynamic team.

You could be based anywhere in the country as long as you are happy to travel, visit universities and connect with student societies and clubs. The aim of these activities is to promote short-term overseas programs that can link to course credit or just provide a great opportunity for students to visit interesting destinations, learn new skills and make a difference in less developed countries, supporting less privileged communities.

As a Student Recruitment Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to meet student recruitment targets, with a particular focus on expanding our leadership program and identifying suitable student leaders. You will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with student networks, clubs and societies to raise CAA brand awareness across universities in Australia and boost student participation on our programs.

This is a full-time remote role which gives you the opportunity to see the impact of your work, from preparing students for their overseas travel, watch them learn and grow from the experience and engage with them as active alumni to share the impact of our programs. Of course, you would also have the opportunity to travel and visit our overseas locations and see how students can learn and contribute to the development work we support overseas.

Required skills and experience:

You must be value- and target-driven, with a high degree of initiative to drive things independently. You will need to work collaboratively within a small (remote) team and be able to travel at short notice (or as required) to promote programs, attend events or engage students.

Our ideal candidate must come with:

  • A degree from an Australian University, demonstrating an understanding of the Australian University education structure and overseas travel programs offered to students.
  • A high degree of energy and initiative, and an ability to think outside the box with perseverance to succeed.
  • Personal experience of having undertaken overseas study or community-based program, demonstrating an understanding of the challenges and benefits of such programs.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, an ability to present to a variety of audiences.
  • A suitable home office structure to enable you to work remotely, the role requires an ability to work independently taking ownership of goals with direction.
  • A set of values that are aligned with the purpose and culture of CAA.

Please note: this role is suitable for recent graduates!

What we offer:

We offer a competitive remuneration package with an incentive structure based on the delivery of business goals and targets. The package will be based on experience and tailored to the individual.

In addition, this offers the opportunity to:

  • Become part of a social enterprise-based, impact-driven organisation.
  • Contribute to broader social, economic and environmental goals.
  • Play a part in the development of others as you help create the next generation of global citizens.
  • Join a journey of personal and business growth.

About Us:

Challenges Abroad Australia (CAA) is a social enterprise that provides impactful, customised overseas learning programs for university students. We are committed to providing programs with a long-term sustainable impact, beneficial to both students and the local communities that we support. With a strong focus on Global Citizenship, we know that students who embark on a Challenges Abroad program can positively impact the world, while enhancing employability skills and inspiring a more global mindset.

We continuously measure the impact of our work across our global community, identifying key achievements alongside our three main objectives: the impact our programs have had in developing the next generation of global citizens, the impact of our programs on the local communities we support and the impact on our planet as we become a carbon neutral organisation.

CAA is planning for substantial growth in 2025 and is looking to expand its dynamic, value-driven team!
