Cadence is the creative agency for good.
We partner with faith-based charities and missional organisations, to use our creativity to help the world thrive. Right now, we’re looking for a like-minded designer to join our small but talented team, based in Macquarie Park NSW.
You will be our Senior Graphic Designer; the boss of beautifully crafted logos, insightful digital experiences, clever marketing campaigns, visual identities and systems … and anything else our clients need to keep their causes thriving.
Working in the non-profit space, you’ll be passionate about impact storytelling, and authentically supporting the missions of our clients.
We’re looking for someone with a few years of experience under their belt - showing you have a good grasp of how to run a creative process, and how to take people on the journey with you.
You won’t find a cookie cutter at Cadence. We’re looking for someone who can come at design problems from a fresh perspective - and is willing to give clients a little push in the right direction.

As our Senior Designer, you will be keen to to pitch in, help run ideation sessions, get alongside clients, and work closely with our Creative Director to come up with the best solutions possible.

Your key responsibilities will be:
- Creative concept development: Develop visual ideas for campaigns, brands, websites, events and appeals - and present them with a rationale and strategic thought.
- Design execution: Produce materials for digital (social media, email campaigns, websites) and print (magazines, reports, direct mail, large format) - applying a keen eye for detail, and ensuring deliverables are optimised for each medium.
- Branding & Visual identity: Alongside our Creative Director, work on evolving, refreshing and totally redesigning brands for a range of clients. This might include the development of logo designs, brand systems, brand toolkits, and branded collateral.
- Website & UI design: Alongside our web team, develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to illustrate layout and functionality. Design user interfaces for websites and landing pages, applying UX best practices.
- Design leadership: You will be an advocate for design at Cadence. This might include initiating ideation sessions, presenting your concepts internally, delegating tasks to bring your ideas to life, creating new tools and processes, and mentoring other designers.
- Project management support: Manage your workload, and assist our project managers with timelines to ensure work is completed within deadlines, budget and brief. You might also run smaller projects from start to finish.
Skills, experience & attributes
- A degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in graphic design, with a focus on brand, marketing, and digital design.
- Advanced visual design skills: An eye for detail and ability to develop clever visual systems that work across multiple touchpoints. A mix of experience in designing brands, websites, marketing materials, and long-form print collateral. Strong understanding of file set-up and artworking requirements for the different outputs.
- Creative problem solver: A creative thinker, able to develop a range of solutions within a limited budget.
- Strong project management skills: Organised, able to keep track of multiple projects, manage your own, follow a filing system, and meet deadlines.
- Great communicator: Able to effectively present ideas and keep clients informed throughout the design process.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma - and able to quickly pick up other programs.
- Experience in, and a passion for mission-driven organisations is preferred.
