About us

Canteen is dedicated to supporting young people and their families affected by cancer. Founded by young cancer patients, our mission is to provide essential programs, services, and resources that positively impact the lives of 12-25 year-olds facing their own diagnosis, dealing with a close family member's cancer, or grieving the loss of a loved one. We believe in the transformative power of our team, and together, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Canteen’s success is built on the capability and motivation of its people. We are now seeking a Technology and Cybersecurity Coordinator with exceptional communication skills to enhance our organisation’s cybersecurity awareness and technical support. In this role, you will focus on engaging staff through a dedicated learning platform, coordinating the delivery of cybersecurity training that resonates with all levels of the organisation. Your ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly will be key to ensuring staff are equipped to navigate the digital landscape securely.

In addition to staff engagement, you will work closely with external stakeholders, such as schools and families, to provide technical support for programs like the robot telepresence system. This will involve troubleshooting, coordinating equipment use, and ensuring the secure and effective deployment of technology.

You will also monitor security alerts and coordinate incident response activities, collaborating with teams to address and mitigate any security threats. Your communication and coordination skills will ensure that both internal teams and external partners are well-informed, prepared, and confident in their roles in maintaining a secure environment.
