Join Canteen and help young people affected by cancer in a caring and compassionate team culture
Canteen acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Australia’s First Peoples and sovereign custodians of this land. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. Canteen is committed to the safety and well-being of children and people of all ages. We welcome all people, including those from diverse backgrounds, faiths, sexual orientations, and gender identities.
Canteen is dedicated to supporting young people and their families affected by cancer. Founded by young cancer patients, our mission is to provide essential programs, services, and resources that positively impact the lives of 12-25 year-olds facing their own diagnosis, dealing with a close family member's cancer, or grieving the loss of a loved one. We believe in the transformative power of our team, and together, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
Canteen’s success is built on the capability and motivation of its people. We are now seeking a Technology and Cybersecurity Coordinator with exceptional communication skills to enhance our organisation’s cybersecurity awareness and technical support. In this role, you will focus on engaging staff through a dedicated learning platform, coordinating the delivery of cybersecurity training that resonates with all levels of the organisation. Your ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly will be key to ensuring staff are equipped to navigate the digital landscape securely.
In addition to staff engagement, you will work closely with external stakeholders, such as schools and families, to provide technical support for programs like the robot telepresence system. This will involve troubleshooting, coordinating equipment use, and ensuring the secure and effective deployment of technology.
You will also monitor security alerts and coordinate incident response activities, collaborating with teams to address and mitigate any security threats. Your communication and coordination skills will ensure that both internal teams and external partners are well-informed, prepared, and confident in their roles in maintaining a secure environment.
We connect, we empower, we challenge, and we are real. These values ground the way we work at Canteen, and underpin a culture that brings people together, collectively, in an inspiring and positive way. Being a part of our team offers you a rewarding, purposeful and genuine experience, with endless opportunities. Find out more on our LinkedIn Life Page.
*Due to the nature of Canteen’s work, you will be required to (very) occasionally work weekends and evenings. Advance notice will be given when this is the case, and Canteen does have a Time off in Lieu policy for taking leave as agreed with the supervising manager.
If you are passionate about technology, excel at problem-solving, and are skilled at engaging others through effective communication, apply now to join our dynamic team and make a real impact.
Do not delay in applying as we will be reviewing applications periodically during this time. Please submit your Resume and Cover Letter outlining your relevant experience.
Only applicants selected for interview will be contacted.
