The Capital Health Network (CHN) Workforce Planning and Prioritisation (WPP) Team provide advice on primary care workforce needs and training capacity to the Department of Health and Aged Care to inform the Australian General Practice Training distribution targets. CHN is the lead organisation of a consortium of the eleven ACT/NSW PHNs who form the WPP organisation.
The WPP team manages the state-wide implementation of the WPP Program to deliver workforce planning needs assessment, identify training and capacity requirements, and mapping training pathways and GP training placements.
The Data Analyst will support the collection and development of high-quality evidence to inform where the community needs more primary care workforce in NSW and ACT. The Data Analyst will undertake data analysis and deliver data-driven insights to inform where the capacity of GP training could be enhanced under the Workforce Planning and Prioritisation.
The Data Analyst will work collaboratively with the WPP teams across the ACT and NSW to deliver on workforce planning needs assessments, training and capacity reports, and mapping of training pathways.
You will work collaboratively with the WPP teams across the ACT and NSW to improve the integrity of data collection and measurement infrastructure and methodologies for the grant deliverables. You will be responsible for contributing to the planning, research, collection, and development of high-quality qualitative and quantitative data analysis to inform where the community needs more primary care workforce.
Your ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative, and critical thinking will enable you to undertake workforce data analysis and visualisation across ACT and NSW to inform where the capacity of GP training could be enhanced over time.
Your strong interpersonal skills and ability to collect information and draw insights will enable your contribution to WPP outputs that will guide distribution of GP registrars in ACT and NSW communities where they are most needed. The Data Analyst will play a key role in shaping the primary care workforce of the future to deliver better care to our community.
This position may suit you if you have management consulting experience or similar or have experience in the health sector and have strengths in conducting and consolidating research and analysis to support critical thinking and develop insights.
This position has been designed so you can successfully perform part of your role from the comfort of your home office if desired, and part or all your work time from our newly renovated corporate Deakin office in Canberra.
