The Solomon Islands Infrastructure Program (SIIP) is a flagship 10-year infrastructure program funded by the Australian Government, with a budget of AUD 276 million. The program intends to improve the quality and accessibility of infrastructure across the provinces, delivering outcomes that contribute to broad-based, inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
At the conclusion of SIIP, it is expected that two End of Program Outcomes (EOPOs) will have been achieved:
This role will work within the Program Quality Division of the Ministry of National Planning and Development Cooperation (MNPDC). The primary objective of the role is to build MEL capability in Program Quality Division staff, Economic and Productive Sector staff and key stakeholders within MNPDC and other Central and Line Ministries. This objective contributes to progressing MNPDC, and more widely SIG, towards the SIIP end of program outcome (EOPO) of enhanced sustainable capacities to plan, manage, finance, construct and maintain critical economic infrastructure.

SIIP is looking for an individual who brings relevant experience in MEL capacity building, especially against infrastructure and national development strategies, ideally within Pacific Island Government. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in a development context, providing strategic advice and high-quality reporting, understanding and supporting different systems, processes and expectations. Knowledge and experience working in Solomon Islands will be desirable.
