- Reports to: My Career Insights (MCI) Program Manager
- Location: Remote, approved home office, or ACCE Greensborough Office, and travel to schools as required.

- Remuneration: $90,000 to $100,000 + SG + leave loading
Scope
- a) This position forms part of the Enhanced My Career Insights (EMCI) project being delivered by ACCE on behalf of the Victorian Department of Education.
- b) This position is allocated as an extension of the My Career Insights Program for Year 9 and 10 students funded by the Department of Education in select Victorian government schools and is referred to as the EMCI.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the MCI Program Manager, the position includes:
- a) Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including working with schools, relevant DE contacts and support services within each region as required.
- b) In collaboration with the allocated schools, establishing participation in the EMCI Program, this includes school visits where required.
- c) Engaging in conversations with school career, wellbeing and learning support staff to engage relevant information about the student/s, school offerings, local agencies and opportunities.
- d) Responsible for a number of school settings (this may be less where long travel distances are involved).
- e) Conducting research into local industry for support opportunities based on identified student interests using the Morrisby profile and session information.
- f) Completing initial research with school staff and the student to determine any other agencies currently involved in a student's support.
- g) Conduct regular career counselling sessions with students including –
- building engagement and developing rapport.
- delivering Morrisby “unpacking” interviews.
- discussing student interests and support needs.
- Supporting students with Career Action Plans
- discussing work experience options/interest and possibilities dependant on local availability.
- discussing pathway options where relevant.
- h) At the end of the period, complete post surveys to identify any growth in service or developments.
- i) Completing detailed note taking and reporting following each student session including case-study write-ups when required.
- j) Provide important suggestions and feedback of the EMCI program, including its reporting, then making flexible changes as required.
- k) Undertaking ongoing training to become an ‘Advanced User’ of the Morrisby profiling tool, the CRM and Morrisby interview management system (MIMS).
- l) Adhere to the CICA standards and ACCE CPD policy.
- m) Attending regular training and meetings with the EMCI Project Team for continuous improvement
- n) Contributing to team and ACCE projects as required.
- o) Contributing relevant information for reporting and to respond to stakeholder information requests.
- p) Other duties and projects as reasonably directed from time to time.
The EMCI Team Lead will have a reduced school/counselling session allocation to allow for other duties:
- a) Conduct promotion of the EMCI program.
- b) Oversee resource development.
- c) Assist with the mentoring of new staff.
- d) Meet regularly with EMCI Career Counsellors to establish team needs and goals to inform the MCI Program Manager.
- e) In the absence of the MCI Program Manager, the Program Lead will lead EMCI team meetings and support and respond to EMCI Career Counsellor requirements, to ensure seamless operations and maintain program effectiveness.
- f) Other duties as required.

- Well organised and an effective planner and leader with strong ability to adhere to strict timelines.
- Excellent career counselling service record with the ability to work with *people from specialist cohorts including:
- Koorie students
- Students in out of home care
- Students engaged with Youth Justice
- Students with disabilities who experience significant disadvantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated comfort
in engaging with stakeholders, public speaking and conducting presentations.
- Proven project and stakeholder management skills, with high personal motivation and ability to problem solve and use initiative.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Experience in the use of online technologies – software, apps, social media, project management software.
- High level of self-reflection and emotional intelligence.
- Proven ability to work remotely and adhere to deadlines.
- Must be able to travel to fulfil duties of the role.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Graduate qualifications in Career Development Practice in a CICA endorsed course at Level 8 or equivalent and professional standing with CICA.
- Trained to unpack Morrisby profiles with students online or in one-on-one sessions within a school supported environment.
- Specialised training to support students with a range of barriers, challenges and unmet needs including but not limited to disability, mental health issues, homelessness, suicidality, addiction and truancy.
- Current and clear National Criminal Records Check and either a Working with Children’s Check or VIT registration are required.
