GROUP LEADERS and OUTDOOR EDUCATORS we need you!!!

Extraordinary opportunities to work in Victoria for The Outdoor Education Group (OEG) providing outdoor education experiences for young people on Holiday Camp as part of the State Government Initiative “Positive Start Program”. And the great news is, it’s over two fantastic weeks so you can have maximum fun in a short amount of time!

We believe in the power of experiential learning. And we want every Australian student to enjoy the benefits of hands-on experiences, in scenic and supportive environments. So we partner with local communities, indigenous groups, philanthropic individuals and organisations, to provide extension programs that are resume-ready. Internationally recognised and often life changing.

We are looking for:

• Outdoor Educators, Specialist Skills Supports and Group Leaders who have a minimum of 2+ years’ experience
• Qualifications necessary – Certificate 4 in Outdoor Leadership, Bachelor in Outdoor Leadership or International equivalent
• Leaders to run a range of scheduled specialist activities with school-aged children for a 2-night, 3-day holiday camp
• Passionate, energetic and fun leaders to show students a memorable camp experience

What you will need:

• A current Working With Children’s Check – can do this after application process
• Proof of Vaccination
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Log book of time in the field or skills qualifications
• Participation in Outdoor Essential Practice 1 – initiation and skills transfer for OEG – delivered after employment offered
• Availability to work during VIC school holidays from 11th April – 22nd April 2022
• Transport to our venues at Camp Marysville, Camp Jungai and the Eildon area

• Casual rates starting from $27.83 per hour minimum (dependant on experience), plus super with overnight and field allowances paid on top
• A range of weekday shifts Monday – Friday from:
  • 7:00am – 1:30pm
  • 9:00pm – 1:30pm – sleeping over at campsite with some on call responsibilities
  • 9:00am – 8:30pm – sleeping in team accommodation
