The opportunity

As the Grant Administrator you will be responsible for coordinating and administering all outgoing grants, ensuring compliance with all legal and tax regulations, improving grant funds, and maintaining the accuracy of all records. This involves being a key user of the grants management system (GMS), and tracking grants through the approval cycle, responding to queries, and checking, organising and presenting documents to ensure timely approvals and contracts.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the coordination of the grant workflow from application to award as the key GMS user.
  • Supports the finance team with expenditures and records and the grantee with audit preparations and reporting.
  • Ensures staff compliance and understanding of TSP’s country-based legal and tax requirements.
  • Builds, maintains and supports key relationships and partnerships with Operations, Program and grantees, ensuring clear and regular communication about deadlines, workflow expectations or process changes.
  • Participates in providing training and technical assistance.

About you

You are passionate about transitioning to renewable energy and fighting the climate crisis. You are a team player, project administrator, and a highly organised and implementation professional, with strong analytical and time management skills, and a desire to develop your comfort with numerical data into strong data management. You can troubleshoot workflows and issues on a range of tech platforms and are adept at written and visual communication, especially proof-reading.

In addition, you will have:

  • 2-3 years of experience in grant-making spaces (e.g. re-granting, philanthropy, non-profit, etc).
  • Relevant educational qualifications at Bachelor’s degree level.
  • Database Management experience (e.g. Fluxx, Givingdata, Salesforce).
  • Skilled in MS suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
  • A passion for action on climate change and social justice.
