Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.

As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing Carers NSW IT landscape, with a strong emphasis on cyber security. You will work collaboratively to support the IT infrastructure, including applications and data. You are key in refining, further developing and executing the overall IT strategy.

This is a part time contract position until June 2024, extension dependant on funding.

Our ideal candidate should possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or other relevant discipline.
  • A solid understanding of Cyber Security principles, security risk assessment methodologies, best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Experience in defining and implementing an IT strategy.
  • Experience managing M365 environment including Teams Calling and SharePoint.
  • Experience working with and managing third party managed service providers and software vendors.
  • Experience in small - medium sized organisations (approx. 100 employees).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to foster collaboration between IT and other departments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
