The Carer Gateway Support Officer role is a full-time permanent position which is subject to ongoing funding. The position attracts a salary package between $78,924 p.a., plus super and salary packaging, 5 weeks annual leave (with 17.5% leave loading) and two wellness days per annum.
Carers WA is the peak body representing the needs and interests of all carers in Western Australia and is part of a national network of Carers Associations providing a range of support services. Carers provide unpaid care and support to family members and friends who have disability, mental illness, a chronic condition, terminal illness, and alcohol or other drug issue or who are frail aged.
The Carer Gateway Support Officer will provide carer focused services and consult with carers to identify their goals and ensure that an appropriate support plan is prepared, implemented, and evaluated. You will be required to work successfully in a collaborative, inclusive team environment and communicate professionally and empathetically with Carers. The position will also be required to liaise with a wide range of partner organisations to raise awareness of carers within the broader community as well as internal stakeholders and provide support across all teams within the Carer Gateway program.
Please note: Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for an interview.
