The Junior ICT Officer role with Carers WA is a part-time, fixed-term 12 month contract. The position attracts a pay rate of $35.89 to $40 per hour plus super and salary packaging, 5 weeks annual leave (plus 17.5% leave loading) and two wellness days per annum.

Carers WA is the peak body representing the needs and interests of carers in Western Australia and is part of a national network of Carers Associations providing a range of support services, supporting Carers across Western Australia. Position Description

The Junior ICT Officer is an entry level role which assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of ICT systems and platforms which support Carers WA business operations. This position acts as first point of contact for internal users seeking support and resolutions (on-site and remote), ensuring all requests are prioritised and actioned in line with business requirements.

Typical stressors associated with this role may include seeing client information in the Dynamics CRM and other systems that may be traumatic or triggering.

Duties

  • Provide on-site ICT technical support and liaise with external technical support (including setting up new equipment, ergonomic setup and troubleshooting existing issues).
  • Assist in the ongoing ICT system development, including infrastructure, software, hardware, security improvement, and user efficiency.
  • Maintain the organisation ICT asset register.
  • Assist with IT projects such as computer rollouts, and software installation.
  • Prioritise support requests and outages ensuring minimal impact to business operations.
  • Assist with creating task cards for users to perform CRM or IT systems tasks.
  • Provide new starter ICT training.
  • Provide general ICT administrative support (including tasks to support the ongoing and development of the CRM).
  • Assist with CRM data monitoring and cleansing, and respond to data requests as required.
  • Ensure proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing timely and accurate contact and solutions.
  • Maintain the organisation ICT asset register.
  • Assess staff equipment needs including acquisition through preferred supplier.
  • Assist with internal phone system and mobile phones, including ongoing development of phone systems, technical support and hardware acquisition.
  • Coordinate the creation and maintenance of user network accounts.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated technical skills, including (but not limited to):
    • Understanding of essential computer hardware, including computer components and peripherals.
    • Understanding of common security practices and threats.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems and device management.
  • The ability to provide onsite and remote technical support, including troubleshooting and providing solutions to users of various IT literacy.
  • Basic skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good level of interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously to tight deadlines and prioritise workload.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a flexible approach as well as being able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Possession of smart mobile phone for systems access.
  • National Police Clearance issued within the last 3 months (to be provided upon employment).

Desirable Selection Criteria

  • Experience in working in the Not-for-Profit sector.
  • Understanding and experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
  • Industry certifications.
  • Some experience (either in a paid or unpaid capacity. E.g., university placements) is preferred.
  • An understanding of Carers issues and needs.
