About the role

We are looking for an NDIS Project Officer to assist us with our transition from Group Based Pricing to the new NDIS Pricing Model.

While this role is initially a 6-month contract, we are looking for someone with the potential to fill an ongoing role as our NDIS and Intake Coordinator. It is available as full time or part time, with a minimum of 3 days per week to meet project timelines.

This is a hands-on role and requires someone to be flexible in their ways of working to suit the organisation’s needs. In return, you will receive a high level of flexibility and autonomy, as well as an incredibly supportive and collaborative team.

General requirements of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the transition from Group Based Pricing to the new NDIS Pricing Model;
  • Assist with implementation, including communication with all stakeholders such as participants, families, carers, Carinya staff and support coordinators;
  • Create internal training material and assist in training staff in the new model, especially with apportion pricing;
  • Assist in updating service agreements to reflect the new NDIS pricing model;
  • Future opportunity to assist in setting up and implementing programs of support.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience working within an NDIS environment;
  • Experience with the Program of Supports Model, including NDIS funding;
  • Experience or high level understanding of implementing programs of support systems along with supporting documentation;
  • A clear understanding of apportion pricing is highly desirable;
  • Demonstrated project management skills (a certificate in Project Management is desirable, but not necessary);
  • High level attention to detail;
  • Ability to coordinate and consult within a team environment;
  • High level of interpersonal and written communication skills including experience in the preparation and development of program documentation;
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills; including the ability to synthesize and interpret data;
  • Demonstrated accountability and ability to act with clarity and sensitivity in relation to client issues;
  • Proficiency of MS suite of products (particularly Microsoft Excel).
