Reporting to the Individual Giving Associate Director, you’ll mentor a team member while driving success through strong relationships with major supporters, including trustees and directors of trusts, foundations, and Private Ancillary Funds (PAFs).
Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Drive Strategic Planning: Develop and implement annual strategies to cultivate and steward relationships with key supporters and trustees, ensuring we meet income and performance targets.
Lead Business Development: Secure high-value donors and partners by identifying relevant trusts and foundations that align with our mission.
Enhance Engagement: Collaborate with the Programs department to create compelling grant proposals and foster deeper commitments from existing supporters.
Manage Partnerships: Oversee reporting, servicing, and renewals to fulfill agreements, while ensuring accurate data and effective communication.
This role is based in our Mascot office and will work a hybrid model, including two days in the office per week.
The successful candidate will have a deep commitment to Caritas Australia’s mission to end poverty and injustice by promoting human dignity for all, as well as a dedication to the principles of Catholic Social Teaching that guide our global efforts. They will have a mix of the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Bring a minimum of 7 years in fundraising, business development, or sales, focusing on high-value income generation within not-for-profit or corporate environments.
Track record of achieving significant long-term income growth through engaging and inspiring potential funders.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities, with advanced writing skills for creating persuasive materials
