About the role:

Due to growth, a role has now been established for a skilled Projects & Policy Officer to join our well-established and supportive Head Office team in Pennant Hills. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Quality, Safeguarding, Risk & Compliance, this role will work on a range of operational policy & project initiatives aimed at improving our community services offerings.

The main objective of the role is to support the implementation of a number of key projects including the development and implementation of outcomes measurement, in addition to other projects. The role will also have the responsibility to work with the Services to develop and review policy in line with legislation and standards and maintain CatholicCare's policy and practice guideline review schedule, alongside our existing Policy Specialist.

We support flexible working arrangement, and you have the option to choose between working full-time permanent hours or part-time hours (4 days per week). The position will be based in Pennant Hills with some travel to the different sites across Sydney and Central Coast.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology, Project Management or relevant demonstrated experience in a similar role within Community Services.
  • Extensive experience as a Practitioner within a non-for-profit, Community Services industry or Social Welfare.
  • Experience in managing projects or able to demonstrate knowledge of project management practices and processes.
  • Experience in writing or reviewing policy documents and interpreting legislation and guidelines when developing policy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills, ability to work in multifaceted teams and juggle multiple competing priorities.
  • Good level of computer literacy including use of all Microsoft Office applications, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Web based applications.
