About the Program

CatholicCare NT (CCNT) is a not-for-profit organisation, providing social services and programs to individuals, couples, families, children, groups, schools and agencies across the Northern Territory.

CCNT offers a range of AOD and Mental Health Services in urban and remote contexts to support participant outcomes. Service delivery includes: AOD Urban, AOD Wadeye, AOD Tiwi Islands, Drug and Alcohol Intensive Service for Youth (DAISY), Youth Enhanced Service (YES) and Taking Action to Tackle Suicide (TATS) as well as services that help people who may be experiencing both AOD and Mental Health issues.

About the Role

CatholicCare NT is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team as a manager specialising in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), Gambling, and Mental Health services.

As the Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating programs aimed at providing services for individuals and communities facing challenges related to substance abuse, gambling, and mental health issues. As a subject matter expert in AOD, Gambling, and Mental Health programs, the Manager drives the ongoing development and implementation of related programs.

This position is responsible for providing onsite leadership and operational management in the Palmerston region in order for CCNT programs to meet their objectives.

What we are looking for

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, counselling, psychology or related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience with managing and supporting diverse staff groups, including the capacity to provide subject matter supervision to staff.
  • Ability to demonstrate subject matter expertise in supporting wellbeing through AOD, Gambling and Mental Health Programs
  • Proven ability to develop partnerships, promote service capability and to represent the organisation in a consistent professional manner.

  • Ability to develop strong partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and other services.
