Senior Practitioner - Family Dispute Resolution

About the Role

The Senior Practitioner FDR will work with the FDR Practice Manager to provide day-to-day operational and clinical support, expertise and guidance to a team of FDR Practitioners, working collaboratively to ensure integrated practice and enhance outcomes for separating families.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Providing support, feedback and guidance to FDRPs to facilitate the delivery of effective client focused services, consistent with best practice standards and relevant statutory and funding requirements
  • Actively contributing to the management of complex and high needs clients within agreed service areas and in line with expertise and qualifications using a collaborative approach
  • Providing timely, high-level and specialist advice to the Practice Manager on service delivery issues, team performance, service quality, and related matters
  • Maintaining a case load to provide FDR of parenting and property matters
  • Attending and participating in individual and group clinical supervision
  • Maybe required to facilitate individual clinical supervision
  • Ensuring that data collection meets internal and funding body requirements
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of professional practice techniques and translating that knowledge to maximise client outcomes.
  • Carrying out duties in accordance with all relevant legal Acts, Legislation, Regulations and Standards in Family Law, Child Protection and Domestic and Family Violence

About You

To be a successful candidate you will have:

  • Must have completed Post Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution, or accredited AGD.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and leverage relationships across multi-functional or multi-disciplinary teams to achieve agreed objectives
  • Demonstrated capacity to deliver a person-centred, strengths-based service
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully support a high-performing team and maintain a positive workplace culture
  • Demonstrated understanding of family law, child protection, domestic and family violence and other relevant legislation as required
  • Strong organisational skills, including the capacity for critical thinking and a systemic approach to prioritisation
  • Demonstrated competency in the use of technology to deliver client services and utilise client management systems
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in working with Cultural and Linguistically Diverse Communities and with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities
  • Demonstrated high-level verbal and written communication skills.
