About the Role
The Senior Practitioner will provide day-to-day operational and clinical support, expertise and guidance to a team of practitioners (multi-disciplinary and/or specialist staff) to achieve best practice and client outcomes whilst contributing to their ongoing professional development.
Some of your responsibilities will be:
- Providing support, feedback and guidance to a team of practitioners to facilitate the delivery of efficient and effective client focused services consistent with best practice standards and relevant statutory and funding requirements
- Actively contribute to the management of complex and high needs clients within agreed service areas and in line with expertise and qualifications using a collaborative approach
- Providing timely, high-level and specialist advice to Practice Manager on service delivery issues, team performance, service quality, and related matters
- Delivering a range of clinical and support services
- Attending and participating in individual and group clinical supervision
- Maybe required to facilitate individual and group clinical supervision
- Carrying a client caseload
- Ensuring data collection meets internal and funding body requirements
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of professional practice techniques and translate that knowledge to maximise client outcomes
- Carrying out duties in accordance with all relevant legal Acts, Legislation, Regulations and Standards in Child Protection and Domestic and Family Violence
About You
To be a successful candidate you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social sciences (such as psychology & social work) and eligibility for membership and or accreditation with relevant professional Board or Association
- Demonstrated ability to build and leverage relationships across multi-functional or multi-disciplinary teams to achieve agreed objectives
- Demonstrated capacity to deliver a person-centred, strengths-based service
- Demonstrated ability to successfully support a high-performing team and maintain a positive workplace culture
- Demonstrated understanding of child protection, domestic and family violence and other relevant legislation as required
- Strong organisational skills, including the capacity for critical thinking and a systemic approach to prioritisation
- Demonstrated competency in use of technology to deliver client services and maintain client management systems
- Demonstrated experience and skills in working with Cultural and Linguistically Diverse Communities and with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities
- Demonstrated high-level verbal and written communication skills
