With a federated structure, its members (state/territory Foodbanks), provide food and groceries to charities and school breakfast programs in every state and territory, with a number also providing direct-to-client food relief.

ROLE

Due to recent movement in the team, we are looking for a high-impact General Manager – Partnerships with a track record in securing significant funds - to achieve an ambitious fundraising target for the 2025 financial year.

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the board, senior leadership team and members, you will develop and execute a focused short-term fundraising strategy to raise funds from corporate Australia & trusts and foundations while managing and empowering two experienced Partnerships Managers.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a seasoned corporate partnership fundraising professional with ability to personally manage and steward high value relationships and multi- national foundations whilst effectively managing high performing teams and motivating individuals to achieve ambitious targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic fundraising leadership: develop and execute focussed short term fundraising strategy to raise 7 figures from corporate Australia, trusts and foundations
  • Execute superior relationship management skills: Personally manage and steward high- value relationships with current and prospective donors
  • Provide team leadership: Manage and empower two experienced Partnerships Managers, providing direction, prioritization to maximise the outcomes
  • Develop pitch and proposals: Oversee rapid development of completing partnerships proposals, pitches and grant applications
  • Collaborate & influence: Work closely with the CEO, board and senior leadership team to leverage networks and access donors.
  • Report and Measure Impact: Ensure tracking and reporting on all fundraising activities -articulating impact of funding to all stakeholders.

YOUR SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

Essential:

  • Extensive experience (7+ years) in corporate partnerships and fundraising
  • Demonstrated success in securing high value partnerships.
  • Proven ability to lead short-term, high-impact fundraising efforts.
  • Experience at managing high-performing teams and motivating individuals toward ambitious targets.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and proposal-writing skills.
  • High degree of initiative, resilience, and ability to operate autonomously under pressure.

Desirable:

  • Salesforce proficiency
  • Prior experience in a national organisation or federated model
