This highly regarded Foundation serves as the fundraising and marketing arm of a leading Medical Research Institute providing financial support to medical research programs whilst also delivering public engagement and awareness activities.

ROLE
This is your opportunity to build your relationship fundraising experience for an incredibly talented, successful and supportive team. You get to use your exceptional customer service, relationship management and communication skills to provide high level supporter care and stewardship across the mid-value and bequest programs.
Reporting to the Bequest Manager, you will be engaged in detailed and personalised engagement, conversion and retention activities across new and existing donor groups via telephone, written communications and events.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide exceptional Supporter Care and Stewardship of donors, bequest prospects, visitors and special guests.
- Via phone, build relationships through active listening and providing information, guiding donors along the journey.
- Conduct follow up engagement phone calls following relevant communications
- Respond to enquiries from supporters in timely manner
- Provide personalised written communications e.g. thank you notes, birthday cards
- Conduct donor care calls to mid-value supporters, bequest prospects and Partners for the Future
- Respond to all bequest and campaign enquiries in a timely professional and sensitive manner
- Provide best practice maintenance of detailed supporter records, data entry notes, and estate and relevant documents
- Assist with research to identify new prospects
- Conduct email, mail, or phone communications
- Assist with individual mailings and direct mailing campaigns for both mid value and bequest supporters
- Assist with development and delivery of morning teas, tours and other engagement activities
- Assist with development of events program, budgets and run sheets and reporting
- Attend and assist at functions such public seminars, tours and external presentation and high value donor events
YOUR SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- 1-2 years’ experience in fundraising or marketing (ideal but not essential)
- Experience in working in a people facing or customer service role
- Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
- Excellent knowledge of working with databases/CRM’s
- Process driven approach to administration including merging data for emails/letters, record keeping, note taking
- Sound MS Office products knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Zoom)
- Outstanding telephone manner
- Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong time management and project management skills
- Excellent listening skills, with patience, tolerance and sensitivity towards supporters
- Can work effectively and independently without supervision
- Sound judgement and decision making
- Self-starter, motivated with calm, positive and ‘can do’ attitude and strong work ethic
