About the Role:

The CCFSS Board's primary responsibilities centre on providing strategic direction and governance together with the development and implementation of key initiatives.

This includes collaborating with staff to;

  • Set the strategic direction
  • Overseeing organisational performance
  • Ensuring compliance with funding agreements
  • Legal and regulatory requirements.

Additionally, the Board is responsible for effectively managing risks, evaluating program outcomes, and fostering a constructive relationship with our Executive Officer to support leadership and accountability.

By engaging in continuous oversight and strategic planning, the Board provides a role to ensure that we operate efficiently and fulfil our Vision and Mission.

Desired Skills and Experience:

We are actively seeking individuals who can offer a wide range of skills and expertise to complement our existing Board team. As a Board member you will contribute to maintaining and upholding CCFSS's governance expertise and sustainability well into the future.

  • Sound understanding of governance (previous Board experience highly regarded)
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Preparedness and capacity to dedicate the time required to support CCFSS as a Board member (monthly Board meetings held in person at Kariong)
  • Legal & Governance, Finance or Risk & Compliance expertise highly desirable.
