  • We ensure people in Western Australia are treated fairly in the financial marketplace by providing free, confidential legal advice through our Telephone Advice Line.
  • We provide legal representation to people experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage so that they can access justice.
  • Our community legal education programs empower West Australians experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage to understand their rights and avoid financial pitfalls.
  • We help other service providers, including financial counsellors and community support workers, to understand and support their clients’ financial rights.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can demonstrate the following

This position is flexible, offering up to four days per week, with negotiable hours. CCLS is open to applicants who can work part-time. You will be based in our Perth office and will receive a salary dependent on experience, plus super, salary packaging, and additional paid Christmas shutdown leave.

The Administration and Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for

  • Coordinating core administrative functions to support CCLS’s operations.
  • Providing direct assistance to volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing coordination.
  • Supporting communications initiatives and assisting with the scheduling, and dissemination of content.
  • Assisting with operational tasks to ensure that CCLS meets its statutory, contractual, legal, and financial obligations.

  • Ability to relate professionally and respectfully to all stakeholders, including colleagues, clients, solicitors, board members, and government authorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be approachable and responsive to requests from both staff and volunteers.
  • Actively participate in meetings, planning, and professional development.
  • Effectively manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High standard of accuracy, attention to detail and adaptability.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to CCLS’s strategic vision.
  • Commitment to working with vulnerable groups such as people from culturally, socially, and financially diverse backgrounds, people living with disabilities and/or mental illness, LGBTIQA+ people, neurodiverse people, as well as people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Desirable Criteria

  • High proficiency with Microsoft 365 and familiarity with other software platforms.
  • Familiarity with the operations of community and not-for-profit organisations.
  • Prior experience in managing administrative functions is preferred.
