About the role

The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for analysing business processes, gathering requirements, and configuring Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (D365 CE) and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and demonstrate expertise in both D365 CE and Power Platform. The role will work closely with stakeholders to drive business success.

Key responsibilities of the role

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements for IT Applications projects including D365, Boomi & so on.
  • Analyse current business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and automation using D365 CE and Power Platform.

Solution Design and Configuration:

  • Participate in Design phase, configure Dynamics 365 CE to meet business requirements, including entities, forms, workflows, and dashboards.
  • Configure solutions using the Power Platform, including building Power Apps, creating automated workflows in Power Automate, and developing reports in Power BI.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with industry best practices.

Technical Documentation:

  • Create detailed technical documentation, including functional requirements, non-functional requirement, technical specifications, user guides and artifacts (Such as ERD, process flow, data flow, use cases, and activity diagrams).
  • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accurately reflects the requirements and processes

Quality Assurance:

  • Collaborate with the Test Analyst to perform QA testing & regression testing.
  • Provide assurance that D365 CE and Power Platform solutions meet business requirements and are defect-free.

Stakeholder Communication and Training

  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle and application lifecycle.
  • Conduct training sessions to help end-users effectively utilise D365 CE and Power Platform solutions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest features and updates in Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform, proactively recommending enhancements and optimisations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system functionality and business processes.

About you

Essential

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Fucntional Consultant, with a strong focus on Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform.
  • Proficiency in configuring and customising Dynamics 365 CE, including workflows, entities, and dashboards.
  • Experience with Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and CRM best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in functional analysis, mapping of business processes and requirements and a passion and commitment to delivering business transformation
  • The ability to conceptualise, visualise, articulate and solve complex problems, and make decisions that make sense based on available information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to structure, present information clearly

Desirable

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools is a plus.
  • Relevant Microsoft certification/s (e.g., MB-210, PL-200, PL-400) is desirable.
