Organisational Context

As part of the wider Marketing and Fundraising Division, the Digital Unit is responsible for the holistic approach to digital across the organisation, from implementation of website experience; marketing technology; online data hygiene; to strategic direction and implementation of the 'always on' programmatic and SEM channels.

The digital experience is critically important to the organisation and a key element that helps increase traffic to our websites and develop long-term relationships with constituents across all areas of the organisation.

Overall, we aim to take audiences on a unique journey with the brand through a superior experience that is personalised and driven through insights.

Break it down....what's involved?

This role will optimise conversion rates across all fundraising websites and ensure campaigns achieve their full potential. It will be responsible for leading strategies to optimise fundraising campaign effectiveness, using data to advise on UX, copy and conversion journeys. This will involve upholding internal brand in all areas, and continuing our emphasis on efficient, data-driven decision making.

You will join a vibrant and expert digital team, working towards an organisational supporter-first vision. Your technical skills and focus on delivery will be critical to the teams' efforts to drive digital transformation.

This exciting role will work on enhancing existing campaigns and overseeing Go To Market for new products, including guiding development, testing, launch and optimisation.

You will be a self driven innovator, with a passion for the science and detail behind data, with the ability to translate it and collaborate for solutions. This is an opportunity to apply your talents in Google Analytics & Google Optimise, to a role with purpose that offers real-time outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Initially reporting to the Website Lead, key responsibilities will be:

  • Supporting Website Lead and Manager, Digital Unit in development and operation of fundraising websites
  • Leading the development of an online Testing and Optimisation framework which can be used across our website ecosystem
  • Liaising with multiple external stakeholders to ensure UX/design requests are implemented by our design and development agencies
  • Leading QA & UAT involving multiple end users on complex website journeys
  • Leading in-campaign UX/journey optimisation and regularly report to stakeholders
  • Supporting projects to roll-out/migration of fundraising sites as required
  • Working with the Digital Team to ensure data standards are maintained and inform decision making across the Marketing & Fundraising Division
  • Upholding consistent graphical and writing styles in line with brand guidelines

Who are we looking for?

In a role focused on continuous improvement this role is for someone who enjoys working with complexities, and has an attitude and natural inclination for seeking out the best. You will also need:

  • Intermediate level of experience in Website conversion rate optimisation (CRO)
  • Sound understanding of Google Analytics & Google Optimise
  • Proven skills in UX design best practice in line with existing brand guidelines
  • Excellent ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure projects are completed in line with expectations
  • Systematic approach to use data as part of online testing, optimisation and reporting
  • Experience in Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing processes
  • Proven ability to understand and accommodate competing priorities, technical limitations, resourcing constraints and tight deadlines
  • Willingness to learn new tools and assist others with ad hoc data, reporting or list management requests
  • Strong sense of accountability and customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management skills
