As a Support Worker, you will be trained to support people with complex disabilities to live independently, achieve their goals and provide support to enable them to have a positive impact in their local communities.
As a support worker at Centacare you will be working within the community and be responsible for supporting the day-to-day needs of our clients such as providing personal care, meal preparation, domestic assistance (including light household cleaning), social support, transport, and personal development.
You’ll get to know your clients well, understanding their needs, preferences and aspirations, so you can support them to achieve what’s important to them.
Our goal is provide our clients with high quality, individualised support. We're looking for people who have experience in supporting people with disability and want to make a difference in the lives of others. We currently have permanent part time and casual positions available in the Sunshine Coast and surrounding area.
Certificate III Individual Support/Disability or studying towards the qualification highly regarded for these positions.
Centacare has the flexibility to offer excellent remuneration rates through its own Collective Agreement with a pay rate between $29.0625 - $33.2166/hour depending on your qualifications and previous experience, with the possibility to earn up to $38.5992/hour for permanent part time and $48.2490/hour for casual.
Penalty rates apply for weekends, overnights and public holidays. Sleepover allowances start at $101.30 for a weekday sleepover to $126.63 for a weekend sleepover.
