ABOUT CERES COMMUNICATIONS

The CERES ecosystem of activities provides a unique, complex, challenging, and rewarding operating environment for the Communications Team.

The Communications Team provides a vital role in communicating CERES’ activities, mission, and values to an enormous range of internal and external stakeholders. The team communicates directly with the general public and supports other areas of CERES to communicate with their own specific stakeholders through marketing activities.

WHERE YOU COME IN

Reporting to the Marketing Lead, you’ll be supporting the Communications Team as we take on a major project, establishing a new website for the School of Nature and Climate (SoNaC) which covers all the educational aspects of CERES’ work. Your role will also include general communications tasks including content creation (EDMs, socials) to help promote the goings on at CERES.

You will make an impact through:

  • Copywriting
  • Website updates
  • Design
  • Social media content creation

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

This role requires:

  • Experience using and publishing with WordPress.
  • Methodical approach to tasks and an eye for detail.
  • A solid writer who can make a caption or a paragraph highly readable.
  • An eye for design and an ability to work within existing brand guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Interest in CERES and our work in sustainability and community.

What's Desirable:

  • Experience in communications or web design through work or study
  • Experience with Avada/Elementor and WordPress plugins (Events calendar, Ticketing)
  • Experience with MailChimp, Meta Business Suite & Canva
  • Experience managing social accounts
