About the Role
This is a varied and mixed senior finance position, covering financial and management accounting, AP and AR, and payroll matters for the organisation. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing month and year – end procedures, such as ensuring journals, reconciliations and reports are conducted accurately and within set deadlines
- Bank reconciliation
- Manage fixed asset processing
- Manage day-to-day processing of accounts payable and receivable, including the reconciliation of ledgers to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Support and coordinate the payroll function when required, including managing PAYG tax and Super for employees etc.
- Assist with BAS and FBT return
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist in preparing for external audits to ensure compliance with statutory and government requirements.
- Supporting the growth and further development of the union by offering suggestions for process improvement and work streamlining
Who are we looking for?
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- CA/CPA qualified or study towards
- 5+ years financial accounting experience
- Payroll experience
- High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
