Clear Horizon has set a bold strategic goal to digitalise measurement, evaluation and learning processes and tools for our clients and partners. The measurement, evaluation and learning space is ripe for disruption and at Clear Horizon we believe digital provides the opportunity to vastly change the user experience of MEL inside organisations. We want to make MEL faster, easier, more accessible and ultimately more impactful. This role has the opportunity to shape this future in Clear Horizon and in the sector, reporting directly to the Chief Digital and Data Officer (CDDO) and as a core member of the digital and data team.
This role will be embedded with our Clear Horizon Sustainable Future team and will be involved in supporting their clients with digital and data solutions for monitoring/measurement and evaluation projects. The Sustainable Futures team delivers Clear Horizon’s core services in the environment, natural resource management and agriculture/primary industry sectors. The team works with a wide range government (state, federal and local levels) and non-government/not for profit organisations, on their strategies and programs in these sectors, including for disaster risk reduction, community and city resilience, renewable energy, and climate change.
This role involves analysing and understanding existing client data systems (such as grants management systems) and identifying opportunities to leverage these for MEL processes; supporting the design and implementation of accessible and appropriate data systems for MEL, and working with environmental and social indicators and geographic information (for example using GIS).
You will have a background at least 5 years’ experience working in a consultancy role, including a demonstrated ability to write successful proposals and excellent reports, or at least a demonstrated ability to bring digital/design thinking into the project planning process.
As a Digital and Data Senior Consultant, you will have experience in human centred design and agile ways of working, experience in producing products and services with best practice user experience and ability to translate requirements to with our in-house technical developers. You will also have experience in data wrangling, data management systems, data analytics. You will also have the ability to influence stakeholders, manage and lead teams and be able to work in a high paced work environment with shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
It would be awesome if you have experience in building M&E frameworks and/or systems for environment, sustainability, or resilience programs in government sectors or in non-government/not for profit organisations. Ideally you will have knowledge and understanding of environmental indicators and understanding the social dimensions of this change (such as economic and social drivers) and possibly a background in GIS.
