About the Role – Key Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager position is a pivotal role focused on two key areas:
- Delivering enrolments for CEW’s two NPS 100 Programs: The Executive Leaders Program and Leaders Program as well as expand our footprint in the leadership development market.
- Assist with the day-to-day management of CEW’s sponsors and corporate partners, maintaining positive, effective relationships and delivering on sponsor benefits.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of both our organisation and the leadership capabilities of our clients.
You will manage relationships with organisations who are already engaged with the Programs and Sponsorships, and you will also be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, establishing strong relationships with clients, and driving growth in our leadership development enrolments. The role requires a passion and understanding of leadership development practices, a proven track record in sales and business development, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough research to understand the leadership development landscape, including emerging trends, industry best practices, and competitive offerings. Identify gaps and opportunities in the market that align with our expertise.
- Client Engagement: Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, Sponsorship/Partner Managers, HR executives, and learning and development professionals within target organisations. Understand their leadership development & partnership needs and challenges and position our solutions as effective and tailored solutions.
- Solution Customisation: Collaborate closely with our leadership development team to design and tailor programs that address the unique leadership challenges and goals of potential clients. Ensure that solutions align with the organisation's vision and capabilities.
- Proposal Creation: Lead the creation of compelling and customised proposals and presentations that showcase the value of our leadership development programs. Clearly articulate how our offerings align with the client's objectives and can drive measurable results.
- Sales and Negotiation: Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure. Effectively communicate the features, benefits, and outcomes of our leadership development solutions. Negotiate terms and contracts that are mutually beneficial.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate long-term relationships with clients and sponsors by providing excellent service and ongoing support. Serve as a trusted advisor and point of contact for their leadership development & sponsorship needs.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, program delivery, and client services, to ensure a seamless transition from sales to program implementation. Provide insights from client interactions to improve and refine our offerings.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development efforts. Provide regular reports and updates to leadership on sales pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue projections.
- CRM Management: Ensure all client and prospects are effectively managed utilising CEW’s CRM, Hub Spot including recording all interactions, deals and manage the pipeline stages as the deal develops.
- Strategic & Operational Planning: developing and executing strategic plans in partnership with leadership to achieve targets and identify areas for growth.
Required Skills
- Proven track record in business development, preferably in leadership development or organisational consulting.
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools. Specific Hub Spot expertise required.
