About the Role

We are looking for an Assistant Centre Director to support our team at Larapinta Early Learning Centre. This is a Full-Time position working 75 hours a fortnight, Monday to Friday.

As our Assistant Centre Director, you will be a positive influence for our team, creating a welcoming, high-quality environment where children are encouraged to grow, thrive and reach their potential. You will be expected to foster a warm and inclusive space for all families and children.

What You'll Do

  • Provide pedagogical leadership to ensure quality care and education programs for children, and direction, support and continuous learning for staff
  • Encourage staff and families of the Service to actively contribute to the quality and success of the Service
  • Build relationships and strong connections between families and the centre
  • Provide a vibrant, interesting, varied and appropriate children’s program that is developed and implemented to meet the ongoing needs of the children as per the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Effective management and implementation of the national quality framework
  • Ensure that the philosophy, policies and procedures of the Service are upheld, implemented and reviewed regularly to meet relevant requirements
  • Maintain compliance with the regulations as prescribed by the Education and Care Regulatory Unit along with all legal and statutory requirements
  • Actively support the mission, vision and values of the organisation
  • Assist the Centre Director with staff management responsibilities such as recruitment, rosters and performance management.

What you need to be successful

  • Diploma qualification in accordance with ACECQA Approved Early Childhood Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar leadership position
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health
  • Computer literacy
  • Demonstrated and extensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and Education and Care Services National Regulations
  • Exceptional communication and team building skills.
  • Valid Working with Children Check.
