Farrar Early Learning Centre (ELC) in Farrar, NT, offers high-quality education and care for children in a safe and engaging environment. The centre focuses on play-based learning and collaborates with families and communities to support children's development. It features beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces that promote respectful relationships and a connection with nature.
Operating hours are from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

About the Role

We are searching for a passionate and inspiring leader to join our Farrar ELC team. This is a Permanent Full-Time role working 75 hours per fortnight with the option available to work a condensed fortnight (work 9 longer days, get the 10th day off).

What You'll do

Responsibilities include, however are not limited to:

• Provide pedagogical leadership to ensure quality care and education programs for children, and direction, support and continuous learning for staff.
• Provide a vibrant, interesting, varied and appropriate children’s program that is developed and implemented to meet the ongoing needs of the children as per the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Ensure that the philosophy, policies and procedures of the Service are upheld, implemented and reviewed regularly to meet relevant requirements.
• Maintain compliance and work within the National Regulations and Law along with all legal and statutory requirements.
• Build relationships and strong connections between families and the ELC.
• Actively support the mission, vision and values of the organisation.
• Monitor the utilisation of services and financial expenditure to ensure compliance within budget.
• General staff management responsibilities such as recruitment, rosters and performance management.

What You Need to be Successful in this Role

• Minimum of a diploma in early childhood education (or a relevant field), approved by ACECQA.
• Demonstrated understanding of EYLF and National Quality Standards.
• Demonstrated awareness of the Early Childhood Sector and contemporary ECEC policy, practices and compliance.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Highly developed management skills.
• Experience in budget management and financial planning.
• Valid Working with Children Check card.
• Commitment to high quality inclusive education and care.
• Willingness to try new and innovative ideas and make them work.
