Are you a strategic leader passionate about supporting community organisations?

CHNS supports 72 Neighbourhood Houses and Community Centres across South East Melbourne and the Bayside Peninsula. We’re seeking a collaborative, forward-thinking Network Manager to lead the implementation of our Strategic Plan, strengthen sector advocacy, and provide governance and compliance guidance to our member Houses.

Your role will include:

• Providing strategic leadership across the CHNS region
• Supporting member Houses with governance, compliance, and sustainability
• Advocating for the Neighbourhood House sector with government and partners
• Guiding the Network Coordinator and Finance Officer to align with strategic goals
• Overseeing strategic planning, funding submissions, and reporting
• Building partnerships to enhance capacity-building across the network

About you:

• Experienced leader in the community or Neighbourhood House sector
• Strong understanding of governance, strategic planning, and advocacy
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement and sector collaboration
• Confident overseeing project planning and compliance at a regional level

Essential requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Community Development or related field, or significant experience managing Community Centres or Neighbourhood Houses
• Current Police Check and Working with Children Check
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid working rights
