This is an exciting role designed to enhance our lived experience programs. The Director, Lived Experience Programs, will provide strategic leadership and governance oversight for lived experience initiatives at CHP. This role is responsible for developing and implementing a Lived Experience strategy that ensures lived experience voices are embedded across the organisation's governance, policy development, and program delivery. CHP is the peak Victorian body representing organisations and individuals with a commitment to ending homelessness. CHP works to achieve this purpose through providing leadership in policy development, advocacy, capacity building and working in partnership with people who are or who have been without a home.

The key responsibilities of the position include:
Strategic Leadership and Governance
- Develop and implement a Lived Experience strategy.
- Oversee governance and accountability of lived experience programs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, funding, and reporting requirements.
- Ensure that services and programs are designed and evaluated with a lived experience lens, focusing on outcomes and impact.
Lived Experience Workforce and Leadership Development
- Champion the inclusion and empowerment of people with lived experience, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
- Lead and support the development of a lived experience workforce, ensuring that staff are trained and equipped to work effectively with people with lived experience.
Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy
- Represent CHP at sector forums, government consultants.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including lived experience advisory groups, boards, and other relevant bodies.
- Drive sector-wide collaboration.
- Ensure CHP is recognised as a leader in lived experience governance.
Change Management and Continuous Improvement
- Lead organisational change to ensure lived experience perspectives are central to activities and policy.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and practices that promote lived experience inclusion and equity.
- Ensure lived experience programs are financially sustainable, scalable, and responsive to sector needs.
- Work closely with the workforce development and practice excellence team to develop training and capacity building initiatives.
- Stay up to date on best practices and emerging trends in lived experience engagement and co-production.
