Are you passionate about climate action? Looking to influence decision makers and contribute to creating a just and climate safe future? Here’s your opportunity to learn how to develop effective climate and environment-related campaigns through a free ten-week advocacy skills program.
Carlton Neighbourhood Learning Centre, in partnership with Yarra City Council, invites you to join our 10-week Climate Voices Advocacy and Leadership Program. This program is designed to equip community members with the skills and knowledge needed to take effective climate action and lead impactful campaigns. Additionally, you will boost your CV with a certificate of completion at the end of the program.
The Climate Voices program aims to empower individuals from underrepresented or at-risk communities by providing them with the tools to advocate for climate policies, counter misinformation, and have their voices heard on the climate emergency.
Program 2 is for people with disability, carers, advocates and workers in the disability sector.This program focuses on creating accessible and inclusive solutions for the climate crisis, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to lead impactful campaigns tailored to disability communities.
Program 3 is for workers on the frontline of the climate crisis, including emergency responders, health professionals, conservation workers, outdoor workers, and community advocates. This program provides tools and strategies for those working on the frontlines of the climate emergency to strengthen community resilience and advocate for policies protecting people and ecosystems.

Over ten weeks, you will be developing your skills in developing impactful campaigns through a mix of workshops, practical projects, and expert guest speakers.
In groups you will have the opportunity to develop a campaign of your choosing and bring it to life with the support of experienced facilitators and experts.
