Are you passionate about urban revitalisation and community development? Join our team at Yarra as a Senior Project Officer for the Victoria Street Revitalisation Project. Reporting to the Manager, Victoria Street Revitalisation Project, you will support the development and delivery of this transformative initiative.

About the role:

In this role, you will provide project support for a multi-disciplinary agile approach to assess feasibility, impact, and resource needs for proposed interventions. You will ensure activities are pursued in an integrated and coordinated way, working closely with residents, businesses, and private sector stakeholders. A key focus will be on highlighting the Vietnamese community's cultural and economic contributions to Victoria Street.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide project management and support services, including preparing reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, and implementing and monitoring project plans.
  • Support the delivery of project outcomes on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring, and evaluation purposes.
  • Undertake research and analysis to support informed decision-making and planning.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including local traders, residents, community groups, and the State Government, to facilitate project completion.
  • Support the engagement of independent experts to assess the efficacy, durability, and resource implications of interventions.

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual with a strong background in economic and community development sectors. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated project administration experience, including preparing reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, and implementing and monitoring project plans.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting the development and implementation of projects, programs, and services to meet community needs, with a focus on customer service, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Proven experience in diverse community and stakeholder engagement, particularly with Vietnamese community groups and members.
  • Must be fluent in Vietnamese.
