Yarra City Council currently has a new and exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate degree qualified Early Childhood Teacher with a specialisation in Trauma Informed practice to join our Connie Benn Early Learning team.
This position will provide specialist support to our existing teaching team, helping to develop developmentally appropriate learning opportunities and intentional teaching strategies in each learning environment to enhance School Readiness programs within our Kindergarten programs.
The successful applicant will become integral members of our Kindergarten team, providing the highest standard of education and care to the youngest citizens in our diverse community. We’re looking for Teachers who are passionate about teaching the early years, exploring indigenous perspectives and trauma informed practice.

Yarra operates five children’s centres located throughout the municipality. The centres provide long day care programs for children aged from 6 weeks of age until they commence primary school. Our long day care programs operate for 10.5 hours per day Monday to Friday, 50 weeks of the year.
