• Band 7 - $98,702 - $110,353.20 pro rata + super + RDO (RDO applicable for full time 38 hours per week only)

We are looking for a passionate and experienced person with great technical skills in the area of sustainable energy, to join our Sustainability Team. Your skills and experience will ensure our Organisation (Yarra City Council) and the community, is at the forefront of integrated knowledge, capability and action, to maximise renewable energy, drive down greenhouse gas emissions and support adapting assets to a changing climate. 

Ideally we are looking for a sustainable energy professional with local government or other relevant experience and a friendly and engaging personality. You are a person who loves to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders ranging from internal to external and from highly technical to non-technical. 

The Sustainability Unit has the responsibility to provide organisational and community-wide leadership, strategy, and engagement to ensure urgent action on climate change in line with Council’s declaration of a Climate Emergency, our endorsed Climate Emergency Plan, and target for a net zero emissions municipality by 2030 target.
