About the role

As a Product Engineer, you will primarily focus on assessing applications from product manufacturers, provide technical input into disputes relating to the program and provide input into the development of Australian small scale renewable energy product standards.

This is a full-time, six (6) month temporary position working 76 hours per fortnight (1 FTE).

About you

We're looking for someone who is tertiary qualified and has over two (2) years’ experience in electrical engineer. Additionally, you will:

  • Be a member of Engineers Australia or other Engineering governing body.
  • Experience designing and/or installing PV and energy storage systems would be highly regarded.
  • Awareness of Australian and international Electrical and small-scale renewable energy products standards, and of the testing process.
  • Understanding of relevant legislative and statutory provisions, standards and frameworks relating to the PV sector and electricity supply sector will be highly regarded.
  • Basic understanding of the renewable energy sector, including developments which may affect product development and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, attention to detail, organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet key deadlines.
