Climate Council

Use your interpersonal and marketing skills as courageous catalysts for climate action.

  • Manage the Climate Council’s mid-value and gift in will programs
  • Full time, permanent role with hybrid working
  • Melbourne or Sydney based

About the role:

At the Climate Council, we fearlessly advocate for the climate solutions Australia needs. We’re independent, expert-led and community-powered—and we’re looking for a passionate, people-focused Fundraising Coordinator to help supercharge our impact.
Reporting to the Digital Fundraising Director, you’ll play a key role in our fundraising team, managing some of our biggest growth opportunities — mid-level giving and gifts in wills. You’ll also get to try your hand at corporate, peer-to-peer fundraising, and more.

This is an amazing opportunity for an all-rounder to flex your people power, marketing creativity, data smarts, and project coordination skills all in one role. You’ll be the connector between digitalt fundraising and major philanthropy—taking donors on a journey from curious supporter to committed changemaker.

We welcome applications for both full-time and part-time roles (0.8FTE or 0.9FTE). Please note, occasional work outside standard business hours may be required.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Take the lead on our mid-value giving and gifts in wills programs, building meaningful relationships and nurturing donor loyalty.
  • Oversee smaller but growing income streams including corporate giving and peer-to-peer fundraising.
  • Develop supporter journeys, digital ads, emails, and campaign materials that engage hearts and minds.
  • Build genuine one-to-one relationships through phone calls, emails, and the occasional event.
  • Use your project management skills to manage suppliers and keep things running smoothly, and your data skills to spot opportunities to grow our impact.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Thrives on building relationships and connecting with people.
  • Has strong communication skills—both written and verbal—and a flair for storytelling.
  • Is highly organised and confident juggling multiple projects.
  • Is data-savvy and comfortable using CRM systems (we use Salesforce).
  • Brings energy, strategic thinking, initiative and a genuine passion for tackling the climate crisis.

What we offer our employees:

  • Flexible work arrangements to ensure positive work/life balance
  • 5 Recharge days each year to ensure your wellbeing is looked after
  • Passionate, friendly and expert teams where all opinions are valued
  • Competitive annual base salary + superannuation
  • A strong culture of celebrating employees successes, both personally and professionally.
  • Opportunities for professional learning and development
