I am 66 years old and I want to live in my own home in the community.

I like going out for coffee. I love books, having my nails done, going into the city on the train and going shopping. I also enjoy spending quiet time playing games at home and making jewellery. These are just a few of my interests but I’m very happy to have different experiences and try new things.

My sisters and extended family are important to me, and family gatherings are something I value.

I’m looking for a support worker to join my team as I work towards achieving my life goal. I’m asking this person to work on Sundays, and also fill in during the week if one of my team is not available. Sometimes things come up on a Saturday that interest me, like concerts or festival events. At those times I need you to be my second support person so that everything goes well.

Requirements for the role:

• a current First Aid Certificate.
• a current NDIS Worker clearance.
• a certificate 2 or higher in Disability Support.
• a current certificate in Medication Management
• a healthy level of fitness and mobility
• experience in providing personal care

Hours of Support:

• Saturdays : 4 – 5 hours (anticipate monthly)
• Sundays : varied (anticipate monthly)
• Flexibility to cover a shift during the week if needed (between 9 and 4pm)
