The Community Media Training Organisation (CMTO) is looking for a Pathways Coordinator to oversee training pathways, coordinate resources, and enhance engagement across Australia’s community broadcasting sector.

CMTO is a nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and charity that provides accessible, innovative, and inclusive training for community broadcasters. We work with Indigenous, multilingual, religious, disability, ethnic, and regional groups to strengthen their presence in Australia’s media landscape.

As Pathways Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing CMTO’s training pathways, supporting trainers, and ensuring effective communication with community radio and television stations, trainers, and numerous and diverse partner organisations across Australia.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinating Pathways training activities to build the sector’s capacity and expand training opportunities.
  • Supporting CMTO Pathways Trainers to deliver effective training programs.
  • Assisting the Pathways and Partnerships Manager in implementing training targets and monitoring progress.
  • Coordinating webinar programs, including logistics, marketing, and presenter support.
  • Liaising with stations, trainers, and sector organisations to strengthen relationships and ensure smooth training delivery.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs by collecting and analysing feedback from participants and trainers.
  • Managing training resources and databases to support program delivery.
  • Helping to develop and implement promotional strategies to expand training participation.
  • Ensuring training activities are inclusive, culturally sensitive, and accessible to diverse participants.
  • Supporting compliance with industry standards and legislation.
