The Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY) is a not-for-profit organisation based in Victoria, providing specialist knowledge and support to young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. About the Role
The MY Education Project Officer is responsible for coordinating the delivery of an allocated portion of CMY’s education projects. This role will focus primarily on the delivery the Refugee Education Support Program in a South-East Melbourne, but may also include the coordination of key Learning Beyond the Bell activities, Schools Standing Up to Racism, and/or other strategic education projects as allocated from the team work plan.

- Hours: 30.4 hours per week (0.8 FTE), Part Time
- Fixed Term: until 17/02/2026
- Base Salary (SCHADS Level 5.1): $97,379.75 per annum plus Super and access to Salary Packaging (Salary Packaging is a great way to increase the value of your salary by allowing you to receive a portion of your income in the form of tax free or tax-deductible benefits.)
- Location: Carlton/Dandenong

You will have
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and project management:
- developing, brokering and implementing multi-stakeholder projects;
- communicating effectively with new and existing project partners, including conflict management and/or ensuring a collaborative approach;
- Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present and write reports and project plans;
- An understanding of the education sector, school systems and curriculum, particularly in relation to challenges for students and families from refugee and migrant backgrounds.
- An understanding of Out-of-School-Hours Learning Support Programs and their role in supporting the educational needs of children and young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
- An ability to work both independently and within a team environment and collaborate effectively with peers across multiple regions
